Curriculum Online and eLearning Credits

Camsoft is a registered supplier/retailer under the UK government's Curriculum Online (COL) initiative, whereby schools are granted eLearning Credits (eLCs), a pot of money that they can use to buy educational software and online services. Our official supplier/retailer ID is LYKB. See the COL website for further information: http://www.curriculumonline.gov.uk

If you don't know if your school has received its allocation of eLC money, you should first check with the budget holder at your school. Then, if necessary, talk to your LEA and speak to the individual or team who distributes Standards Fund money received from the DCSF. If you still cannot find the answer contact the Curriculum Online team at the DCSF by completing an enquiry form on the Curriculum Online website or by telephone on 0870 000 2288.

The process of registering our own products and linking to products produced by other suppliers is very time-consuming and you may find that some products listed in our catalogue have not yet been registered or linked. Please ask if you need confirmation that a product is eLC-eligible. Most of the products listed in our catalogue are eLC-eligible. The symbol designates that a product has already been registered. If you require a particular product that is not yet registered then we can bring forward the process of registration or linking. See How to order.

Software for Modern Foreign Languages (CALL software) produced by Camsoft

ICT training

Lack of training lies at the root of the anxiety displayed by language teachers towards new technologies. Graham Davies, one of Camsoft’s partners, has produced an extensive range of training materials for language teachers, the most comprehensive being the ICT for Language Teachers website at http://www.ict4lt.org and the accompanying CD-ROM, which is available from Camsoft. Click here for further information: ICT4LT CD-ROM. Graham Davies is the Academic Coordinator of the ICT for Language Teachers project. He has also worked as a NOF trainer and has recently been producing e-learning training materials for the Standards Unit of the DCSF.

A selection of free training materials and links to resources and articles produced by Graham Davies is available at Camsoft's website. Click here: Freestuff.

Email: You can email us initially only via our main Contact Form. This is so that we can identify you as a genuine enquirer. We do not display our email address publicly, and we ask other webmasters not to do so either. This is in the interests of email security. Our former email address was wrecked by spammers in July 2004 and we were forced to set up a new email address. You may, however, publicise and link to our website homepage (this page): http://www.camsoftpartners.co.uk

Online ordering: First, email us via our main Contact Form to check that the goods you require are in stock. You may send us your credit card details by telephone or fax (see above) or via our Secure Contact Form. Do not use our main Contact Form or ordinary email to send us such details. Please note that we take precautions to avoid Credit Card Fraud in order to protect ouselves and to protect you.

How to order:

Before ordering, please make sure that your equipment is suitable for the software that you wish to purchase. If you are unsure please contact us by telephone, fax or email.

Educational institutions and businesses must submit an official signed order on headed paper or on a signed official order form. An order transmitted by fax is acceptable. An order submitted by email or telephone is also acceptable if an official order number is quoted. Invoices are sent out under separate cover at the same time as the goods.

Credit is limited strictly to 30 days, after which interest is charged. Under no circumstances can invoices be issued in advance of the supply of the goods.

Private individuals must pay for goods in advance, either by direct transfer to Camsoft's bank account, or by sterling cheque, or by credit or debit card (see below). Bank transfer charges must be borne by the customer.

Postage and packing are added to each order and vary according to the weight of the package. Postage and packing are charged at actual cost.

VAT (Value Added Tax) is charged at the rate of 17.5% on the total cost of orders posted to UK and other European Union addresses, but non-UK European Union businesses and educational institutions that are VAT-registered do not have to pay UK VAT, providing they can quote their national VAT registration number.

The following credit and debit cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Delta, Solo.

Overseas customers must pay for goods in advance, either by direct transfer to Camsoft's bank account, or by sterling cheque, or by credit card. All orders are billed and charged in pounds sterling, but an additional invoice displaying the amount due in the local currency can be provided on request. If an overseas customer pays by credit card the final amount due will be converted to the customer's local currency by the credit card company at the prevailing exchange rate. Unfortunately, we cannot accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in foreign currencies due to the exorbitant charges imposed by banks. Cheques must be made payable in pounds sterling drawn on a UK bank. Transfers must be made in pounds sterling, and bank transfer charges must be borne by the customer. Duties and taxes associated with overseas orders will increase the final payment due. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay all import tariffs, brokerage fees and any other costs related to delivering the goods. Please note that this is in addition to the cost of your order and delivery charges. Camsoft recommends that overseas customers check on all fees, practices and local import tariffs prior to placing the order. The customer will be responsible for return freight charges should delivery of the goods be refused or if the goods cannot be delivered for any other reason.

Bank account: Details of Camsoft's bank account will be provided on request.

Terms and conditions of trading: Terms.
