MonoConc is an invaluable tool for the language learner and teacher. MonoConc allows you to search for occurrences of terms in any corpus of text. The data can be copied and pasted into a word-processor and used as the basis for a variety of language exercises. Using MonoConc, you can:

• find examples of authentic usage to demonstrate a point of grammar, typical collocations, etc;
• check on grammar and usage of particular words and phrases;
• generate exercises and worksheets based on examples drawn from a variety of corpora;
• examine the style, word choice, etc of literary texts and authors;
• exclude common words by setting up a stop list;
• include wildcards in the search term;
• sort the output in four different ways;
• count the frequency of words in any text or corpus;
• find common collocates of any word;
• copy and paste the output into other Windows applications;
• output the results of the search to a printer;
• save the output to a file.
