Each of these multimedia CD-ROM sets is the equivalent of a full textbook and workbook including 20 lessons with up to 45 dialogues and readings, as many as 10,000 native speaker audio recordings, up to 45 native speaker video clips, a variety of interactive exercises, audio phonetics training, graphics, and extensive grammatical and cultural notes. The lessons were created using the University of Arizona’s dynamic new interactive language teaching software, MaxAuthor. These classroom tested lessons allow learners to see, hear and speak in the target language using natural native speech as their model. Although ideal in conjunction with any beginning language course, this courseware may also be used independently if the learner has no access to other instruction. Because the lessons offer natural language and exercises at variable speed and complexity, they are also ideal for sustainment, review, and ear training for those who have already studied the target language.
